Celebrate 90 years of the legendary Douglas DC-3 with a special premiere event featuring Barry Lapointe, Founder and Chairman of KF Aerospace, and original Odyssey crew members, with a short documentary produced with award-winning director Ryan Tebbutt of Edge Digital Media.
Hosted by the KF Centre for Excellence, this exclusive premiere event features a short documentary film: Odyssey 86 - 90 Years of the DC-3. A special evening celebrating the legendary Douglas DC-3 aircraft and the remarkable 1986 around-the-world Odyssey flight.
Departing Canada in 1986, the aircraft and crew travelled across 28 countries and dozens of cities worldwide, carrying a message of innovation, friendship, and adventure. The journey highlighted the importance of transportation and communication in connecting people and cultures across the globe in one of the most iconic aircraft ever built.
Canada's Expo 86 in Vacouver welcomed more than 22 million visitors from around the world. As part of the international celebration, the Odyssey DC-3 embarked on an around-the-world flight promoting the spirit of global connection and innovation that defined the World Fair.
40 years later, the story returns.
