Description:
Seven comics. Seven audition sets. One audience that gets to see them first.
On Sunday, October 4 at 7 PM, seven comedians take the stage at Dakoda’s Comedy Lounge to record their sets for auditions to the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. They’re bringing material they believe in, and you get to be in the room when they put it on tape.
Alex Miller turns marriage and fatherhood into sharp stand-up. He’s performed at Yuk Yuk’s and Toronto’s Comedy Bar.
Dave Kopp, founder of Kelowna Comedy and a Comedy Bloodsport Champion, has performed at Just for Laughs Northwest and appeared on CBC Radio and Shaw TV.
Rajaa Dionysos is a Moroccan-born storyteller with a commanding stage presence—and an Ogopogo Comedy Challenge win.
Jordan Strauss brings clever, offbeat comedy to the lineup. He’s shared stages with Jon Dore and Shaun Majumder, earned top honours at Calgary’s FunnyFest, and released an album with Comedy Here Often.
Riley Hindley brings quick one-liners and big energy. He’s performed at the Kelowna Comedy Festival and won a comedy contest in Vancouver.
Reza Houshmand is an international ladies’ man with a fresh take on life in Canada.
Konrad Anderson has performed across Canada and appeared on the Outsiders Show at Just for Laughs Northwest.
Come give these comics a real crowd to play to as they record their Winnipeg Comedy Festival audition sets. It’s a chance to see seven distinct acts in one night—and your laughter might make the tape.
