Description:
Opening on January 19th at the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is “9/3” by Erin Scott.
Featuring a sequence of 9 video poems, and in response to Allan Kaprow’s “18 Happenings in 6 parts”, “9/3” is a feminist and contemporary intervention to the idea of the happening, and an effort to blur the lines between art and life, public and private, research and creation.
If guests want to share and add to the work, Scott will be in the gallery on January 20, 27, and February 3 to create new video poems with participants. “9/3” will be on view in the Alternator’s Project Gallery from January 19 - March 2, 2024.
