Date:

Wed, Dec 14th, 2022

Time:

6:00 pm

Description:

Come hear the beautiful voices of the Okanagan Children's Choir and Okanagan Youth Choir singing Christmas choral music.

There are so many concerts to attend during the Christmas season – but this is one that you definitely don’t want to miss! Okanagan Children's Choir and Okanagan Youth Choir will join forces to present a concert of Christmas music to warm your hearts and make your Spirits Bright!

Okanagan Children’s Choir and Okanagan Youth Choir are award winning community choirs for singers in grades four through to young adult. The choirs provide young singers in the Okanagan with a positive and nurturing environment where they are encouraged to strive for musical excellence. Both choirs have a reputation for beautiful and energized singing and this concert will definitely not disappoint. Traditional Christmas carols will be juxtaposed with contemporary renditions of traditional texts. From the opening strains of ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’ to the fun antics of the children on ‘Christmas Morning’ you will have the opportunity to reflect on the season and to receive a healthy dose of Christmas joy! And you’ll also have the chance to join in a bit of the caroling yourself, as they will include several audience sing-along favourites.

Join Okanagan Children’s Choir, Okanagan Youth Choir, and conductors Frances Chiasson and Taylor Bone for Making Spirits Bright, at Central Okanagan United Church on Wednesday, December 14th at 6pm. Tickets are available via Eventbrite or at the door: $15 for adults, free for children & students.
