Learn about biodiversity around your home with the Okanagan Regional Library! For this free Zoom event, you can send in photos of wild plants you want to know more about. An expert will discuss them and talk about plant identification resources. Registration open now!

This year’s Science Literacy Week is all about biodiversity. Join the Okanagan Regional Library on Saturday, September 26 at 2:00 PM on Zoom for our Virtual Backyard Botany Tour. Learn about the plants growing in your yard or neighbourhood and why they are so important to their ecosystems. Is there a particular plant or flower that you always walk by and want to know the name of? Take a picture and an expert will try to identify it for you! We will also discuss resources that will help you identify plants on your own.

Registration for this event is mandatory. Instructions for photo submissions and joining the Zoom call will be sent out after you register.
