Chance of Showers is a “Persian Classical Music” band based in Vancouver, BC.
The band’s members are Tahere Falahati (Vocals), Hossein Meimani (Composer and Setar), Bijan Rahmani (Tombak), and Peyman Rouhandeh (Setar). The Persian classical music and poetry are intertwined and aimed to create a threshold space, a zone of mystery. This music is not only for pleasure, but has a transformative purpose to bring the listeners to a spiritual state. In this show, the Chance of Showers will perform music inspired by one of the greatest Iranian poets, Rumi. “What you seek is seeking you.”
