Event:

"That's Amore!" By The KSS Night Owl Theatre

Date:

Fri, Dec 7th, 2018

Time:

6:30 pm

Description:

The Kelowna Secondary School Night Owl Theatre is positively delighted to announce the performance of not one, but two Shakespearean plays, this coming December.

Both plays explore complicated but comedic concepts such as mistaken identity, gender bending, and all sorts of deception. In Twelfth Night, it appears every character is head over heels for precisely the wrong person. Add in the fact that some characters conceal even their gender, and things get even more befuddling. Filled with fools, dukes, identical twins, and an ever present air of desire this play is practically bewitching. Much Ado About Nothing, is a play that boldly mixes romance and comedy, and adds a healthy dash of wit for good measure. Benedick and Beatrice are both haughty and headstrong bachelors, confident that they’ll never be married. Where as Claudio and Hero fall at first sight, but a dastardly plot aims to tear them apart. Both of these plays are set in the stylish yet gritty, 1950’s Little Italy. Shows run from December 5 to 8, at 1079 Raymer Avenue, Kelowna Secondary School. Doors are opened at 6:30, and shows start at 7. Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults, and can be purchased at the box office or reserved by email at nightowltheatre@gmail.com.
