Event:

Creative Art Series: Group of Seven Landscapes

Date:

Sat, Sep 29th, 2018

Time:

2:00 pm

Description:

Characterized by rugged landscapes, mountainous scenes, and seemingly untouched nature, the Group of Seven artists have come to represent a distinctly Canadian identity.

Also known as the Algonquin School, the Group of Seven painters initiated a major Canadian art movement during the 20th century. These paintings have become increasingly valued by art institutions and collectors across the globe. Create your own interpretation of a Group of Seven Canadian landscape!

On Saturday, September 29th, artist Louise Lambert will gently guide participants to create one-of-a-kind acrylic paintings inspired by the work of the Group of Seven painters. Louise will instruct the group to produce vibrant landscape paintings in the style of the Algonquin School painters. All art materials are included in the ticket price.

Before the workshop, experience a tour of Grizzli Winery, and get a glimpse of its vineyards and production facility. Then enjoy tastings of Grizzli’s signature wines. This package also includes two glasses of wine and chocolate and cheese pairings to enjoy while you paint.
Tickets: $68
