Theatre Kelowna Society, Shakespeare Kelowna and the Red Dot Players have organized a Hands On theatre activity. Theatre workshops and panels about the various parts of producing and performing plays and Play in a Day.

This event is open to all ages, everybody has a bit of theatre in their soul.

We will introduce people to behind the scenes work in theatre. The workshops and panels include; How Rehearsals Work, Stage Management. Putting On Shakespeare, Set Construction. Costuming, Makeup For Stage.

Play in a Day; Planning / Developing, Writing, Performing your play.

People can be engaged by attending the workshops Saturday and write and produce a play on Sunday.

Theatre Kelowna, a community theatre group, with roots that go back to 1949. TKS produces three shows each season. We promote, perform, teach and encourage musical and theatrical arts. Shakespeare Kelowna has a reputation for presenting unique and exciting interpretations of the Bard’s works for 22 years. We stage entertaining, fun, accessible and stimulating productions. Formed in 2010, The Red Dot Players are a theatre troupe for Okanagan College students, employees, and community. Producing plays that entertain, challenge, and educate.
