Okanagan Festival Singers Present Kids, Crowns, Kings And Coronations!

Date:

Sat, Apr 22nd, 2017

Time:

2:00 pm

Description:

The Okanagan Festival Singers present a children's performance of Handel's Coronation Anthem 'The King Shall Rejoice'. Featuring Larry the Lamb and King George II, they will engage the children in their story and bring them to a finale where the children help crown the king. Fun for the family!

King George II has lost his way on his coronation day, and ends up in a time machine that takes him from 1727 to 2017. He meets a wisecracking character named Larry the Lamb and the Okanagan Festival Singers, who are performing Handel's anthem written just for George's coronation. In an entertaining and engaging performance, they talk about kings, coronations and Handel's music, culminating in the crowning of the king by the children.
